    GUEST account security risk

    hi.

    Can someone please tell me why is it not recommended to disable the GUEST account in Oracle applications.

    The GUEST account is used throughout the application and must never
    be disabled.

    External appliations use Guest p/w to connect to ebiz application., say iStore, irecruitment etc.

    Also if you want to integrate Discoverer wiht ebiz, it will also use guest password.


    The best practice is to change the guest password, to secure your application.
