9i logical standby - rc script

    Hi,
I have a 9i (9.2.0.7) logical standby on Solaris. The "apply" process does not start automatically upon a database restart in 9i (it does so in 10g). So I'm wondering how to set up the rc scripts, so the "ALTER DATABASE START LOGICAL STANDBY APPLY" gets kicked off immediate after a startup (following a server reboot).

Do I have to call a separate customized script..or modify the $ORACLE_HOME/bin/dbstart script apppropriately?

    Thanks.

Whatever is good for you, create a script or modify dbstart.

Yup, I guess I'll put in a script. I just found it very odd that Oracle doesn't take care of these "no brainer" type of things automatically. I don't see the rationale in not starting up the "apply" services upon a database restart. Just ranting..
