How to change the password for internal of oracle816 installed on redhat linux ?
1. Remove the current password file 2. orapwd file=xxx password=yyy This is a basic syntax. For listing all the possible parameters for orapwd run the orapwd utility without any parameters. HTH,
Jurij Modic ASCII a stupid question, get a stupid ANSI 24 hours in a day .... 24 beer in a case .... coincidence?

On Nt the password file will be in: \Oracle\ora81\database\PWDsid.ora Nizar
Its in Unix: $O_H/dbs NT: /O_H/database Otherwise search/find orapwxxxx.ora where xxxx=sid_name.
