    How to change the password for internal of oracle816 installed on redhat linux ?

    1. Remove the current password file
    2. orapwd file=xxx password=yyy

    This is a basic syntax. For listing all the possible parameters for orapwd run the orapwd utility without any parameters.

    where can I find the current password file for internal ?

    On Nt the password file will be in:

    \Oracle\ora81\database\PWDsid.ora

    Its in

    Unix: $O_H/dbs
    NT: /O_H/database

    Otherwise search/find orapwxxxx.ora where xxxx=sid_name.
