Question Oracle 10g RAC multipathing configuration

    Hi,

Does anyone know whether Oracle 10g (R2) RAC supports multipathing configuration if using Enterprise Linux servers (Kernel 2.6.9), Fibre Channel switch, and shared storage?

    Thank you,
    Jiong

RAC does not know about Multipath, not RAC's business.

Your HBA driver or some hardware maker software or even Linux multipathd do that job.

Thank you for your reply. I know we can configure the multipath on the system level. My question is will Oracle 10g RAC be able to handle the interoperability with this multipath configuration. Have you tried the multipath configuration and had a successfully operated 10g RAC? Thanks a lot.

its the os that deals with it - not oracle, oracle is just a user of the devices
