    redo logs or control file problem

    Hi

    currently, i don't no what happened that redo logs or control files in our organization Database( 10g )are deleted and database is down.

    this event happend in a special time period for example ( each 2 weeks ).

    therefore I execute some command for giving back.

    please help me, so that this problem is a critical for my organization.

    Any cron jobs running at that time, clearing any temp files? Check the time window and crontab.

    Well, as this is happening in every two weeks, I expect some cron tab job kicked in, trying to clear some temp files and may be deleted your control files. This is just a possibility... By any means, Oracle cannot delete the control files automatically..

    Please don't ask what are those temp files

    I have checked cron and there is no schedule task for this subject.

    Check root crontab and all other powerfull users crontab
    One, who thinks that the other one who thinks that know and does not know, does not know either!
