saving a file in d2k

hi

i have two things to ask:

1. how can i design a form where i can save/create a new file from D2k

2. which trigger should i use to check wether user is entering numeric character in a non numeric item and how?
Basically my requirement is that i have to prompt user to enter some data in a item/editor in D2k and then save that note as a txt or pdf file in his system.
apart from that i have to check whether user is entering numbers in a numeric field or not. in case he doesn't i have to flash a message on the screen like 'Enter numeric characters only...' the moment he presses a key or presses next key


is there any way to do that ???
is yes pls help me out its really urgent.
