    Characterset

    Hi all,

    I have the DB on

    NLS_CHARACTERSET WE8MSWIN1252
    NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET AL16UTF16



    I did an export and import to another database with the below characterset:

    NLS_CHARACTERSET AL32UTF8
    NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET AL16UTF16


    I think WE8MSWIN1252 is the subset of AL32UTF8, but I wasn't sure and I want to confirm.

    It is not a strict subset.
