    ORA-27070: skgfdisp: async read/write failed

    Hi All

    Having I/O error while starting up the DB - OS is Win2K. Please find below the trace file and also the error messages.

    ORA-600 signalled during: alter database open...

    NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE TO STARTUP THE SAME ....

    Cause: Unexpected return from Windows system service.
    Action: Check operating system error code and operating system documentation

    Start by taking a look at E:\oracle\admin\CRIMES\udump\ORA00996.TRC

    This could be a hardware failure. Check the OS for any messages indicating disk failure.
