Lead Oracle DBA - Los Angeles

As the Oracle DBA, you will:
• Administer, troubleshoot, configure, monitor, support and optimize oracle databases on 10g Real Application Cluster on Linux and several large 9i instances. The Databases are used for more than 1TB data warehouse and other applications.
• Implementation of new features of Oracle 10g, Install other Oracle Products such as Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Application Servers.
• Anticipate and prevent database problems, Document and test database recovery procedures. Implement and improve procedures to enhance availability and speed recoveries.
• Develop, test and deploy pl/sql and/or sqlldr programs to load and unload database tables.
• Develop automated scripts to manage and report on the health of database instances.
• Develop, test, and deploy database backup and restore procedures.
• Provide sql and pl/sql support to developers and programmers.
• 8+ years oracle database administrator experience
• Technical knowledge of Oracle 10G Rac in a data warehouse, business intelligence environment
• Must have experience with Oracle Parallel Server (OPS)
• Must have experience with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN)
• Extensive knowledge of sql and pl/sql
• Extensive knowledge of database tuning
• Extensive knowledge of database backup procedures including RMAN
• Ability to recognize priorities, meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Sybase or Sybase IQ a plus
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix, shell-scripting
• Excellent communications skills
• B.S. Computer Science or equivalent
