RAC (10.2) with OCFS on windows 2003
Can some point me to step by step installation of
Oracle 10.2 RAC with OCFS on 2 nodes (2 Windows 2003 server).
I got one for Oracle 9i with patches from metalink note: 178882.1 but I need for 10.2 version.
I have no prior experince with RAC and need step by step info/document/details.
Thanks

The document above is very useful but do we have any document specifically for windows 2003 setup. The above one says at very start:
"Note: For Linux operating systems other then Red Hat Linux, see
Oracle Database Oracle Clusterware and Oracle Real Application Clusters
Installation Guide for Linux. For other operating systems, see the
platform-specific Oracle RAC installation guide."

on the right hand side, installation guide for Windows (all versions)

I now read on oracle Documents that with 10g standard edition ASM is a must and OCFS cannot be used.
2 Questions:
1. Is the above statement correct.
2. Now I am planing to use ASM, but need to know if there is any pros/cons for putting Cluster Ready Services OracleHome and Oracle db/software on different drives v/s on same drive
Thanks

if you are using RAC on standard edition, then yes you must use ASM and the answer to question 2 is that it doesnt make a bit of difference
