    Mount Database

Please help me I'm new to oracle and I'm learning 10g.
I have created a database called STUDENTS using dbca
How do I see it in EM and make use of it.Apart from using the default database (which I left us global database name - orcl and SID - orcl) created during installation of oracle.

It appears you are already done with the creation. If you are, and had no issues, then shouldn't it be already mounted and open?
-As for using it....well do you have an application to enter and retrieve your data? or use sqlplus to practice your DML...
Life is what is happening today while you were planning tomorrow.

OK - When you built the Db using the DBCA, on the final page of the build (where it tells you the Db was built successfully) you would have been given a URL (something like http://:1158/em). This is the URL you use to access the Db using DBConsole (the new 'posh' name for EM).
(The port number is 1158 for the first Db, and then 5500 onwards for other Db's that you build on the same server.)

In order to get DBConsole to work you need to ensure that the Windows Service DBConsole has started.

Then, to use the database, do as ndisang said in his post.

And read the manual - it's your best friend (especially for beginners).
