since i'm not getting any feedback from the forum "Feedback and Questions regarding the forums" i'm going to post my question to the administrators over here.

I'm not an administrator, but: what is stopping you from enabling the use of avatar yourself? It is a common "feature", everyone is enabled to specify his/hers own avatar, without any intervention of the administrator. What exactly is the problem you are getting at when you try to specify your avatar?

If I could change it myself I would have. It seems like the function is disabled in my profile/user.

Can you be a litle more specific?

"Dba Support Forums" -> "User CP" -> "Edit Avatar": In the "Edit Avatar " pannel you have a radio button with two choices:
    - Do not use an avatar
    - Use Custom Avatar

If you click the later one, you can enter your avatar's URL or you can specify a location of the avatar on your computer to upload it to the forums database.

So in which of those steps are you stucked?

    I'm in agreement with davey23uk

I can see no "Edit Avatar" option in my Control Panel, options I have are:

    Edit Signature
    Edit Email...
    Edit Profile
    Edit Options

Where am I supposed to find my "edit avatar" options?

Avatars aren't turned on at present. I have no objection to turning them on, if that's what the majority of users want.

    That explains why.
Just find unfair some old members have theirs and we probies don't... sounds like discrimination, huh? :-)

Well member longevity isn't the delimiter, it's only moderators who have custom avs enabled. Somehow I didn't expect it would be much in demand here, but I can enable it for all.

It's not discrimination, it's just that we are better then you.
I remember when this place was cool.
