Event viewer log for 10g XE
I am using oracle 10g XE in windows 2003 server, i often see the below messages
in the event logger when i stop or start the ORACLE
"The description for Event ID ( 34 ) in Source ( Oracle.xe ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: ACTION : 'CONNECT' DATABASE USER: '/' PRIVILEGE : SYSDBA CLIENT USER: CLIENT TERMINAL: STATUS: 0 ."
I am just worried whether this will cause any problems to the server. Any one know what this messages means and why these messages are appearing in the logs..
any help would would be greatly appriciated..
might be O.S. compatibility issue/or security.
the ACTION part is always there, its audit logging. I doubt that it causing you a problem
