    How to copy LONG or LOB data from one table to another table?

    Hi,

    I try to copy LONG or LOB data from one table to another table, I use INSERT INTO...SELECT FROM, but it gives me error:

    ORA-00997: illegal use of LONG datatype
    ORA-22835: Buffer too small for CLOB to CHAR or BLOB to RAW conversion (actual: 15247, maximum: 4000)

    You might want to try sqlcopy command, like:

    copy from schame/password@source_db to schema/password@target_db -
    append target_table -
    using select * from source_table;
