    Hi all,

I intstalled my 10gR2 EE db in windows 2003 and when I click on the startup
program menu "database control - orcl" I always get
THIS PAGE CAN NOT BE DISPLAYED.

How do I troubleshoot this control thing? Thanks

    Hi
    Try
    emctl status dbconsole
    at DOS prompt.
See if the dbconsole is running. See also the port it uses

Starting Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Database Control ...The OracleDBConsoleor
    cl service is starting.
The OracleDBConsoleorcl service could not be started.

    A system error has occurred.

    System error 3 has occurred.

The system cannot find the path specified.

    hi,
    Goto
    programs->administrativetools->services
start your oracle services manually also set to automatic.
If ur instance is not started do it manually from that window.
r u using DHCP to get ip address.
if the ip-address is wrong it will not start.

    1) The DHCP is not a good idea
    2) Remove the old configuration
    emca -deconfig dbcontrol db
    3) Create the new configuration
    emca -config dbcontrol db

You'll need the host name/ip, the listener port number, the insatnce name
