    difference betweeb controlfile and standby control file

    Hi,

    Can u pls let us know what is the difference between control file and standby controlfile ???

    A standby control file is created for a standby database, the control file is for the primary database.
    If I have to choose between two evils, I always like to choose the one I haven't tried yet.

    A flag I guess, that allows the database to be kept mounted and in recovery mode, allowing the stand-by DB to apply archive logs with log sequence/SCN generated after these in the control file
