    recover drop table from archive log

    Can anybody tell me the complete steps to recover droped table from achive log .

    what version of oracle are you using.

    IN gheneral though, you cant recover a table from an archived log

    restore to the point just before the drop, export, import.

    unless you're on 10 and have flashback configured.

    dont need to have flahback configured to recover a dropped table - just look in the recyclebin

    I am using Oracle 9i (release 2 9.2.0.1.0).
    If drop table is not possible can you tell me how to recover the lost data .e.g. suppose i deleted some of the rows from any table and i want to recover those again from archive log . what is the procedure to recover those data. Please send me the complete steps.

    recover your last good backup and roll forward to th epoint before you dropped

    or do tablespace point in time recovery and then export the table from another instance as Jeff said above.

    But i'd ask your dba for help on this one
