how to rebuild indexs
Please tell me how to rebuild the indexes. some of my index ts is 3 GB or more than that. This one need to schedule or we can do it during office hrs. I have no idea on this. please give me some ideas on this.

How you do it? Easy, just ALTER INDEX xyz REBUILD.
The bigger question, though, is why would you want to do it? If you are just rebuilding indexes because you think it's a good idea to periodically do it, then think again.

You could also go for rebuilding indexes online
e.g: alter index xyz rebuild online;

Perhaps you missed something. You do not need to rebuild indexes unless there is a problem with an index or you want to move it to a different tablespace. So it does not matter if you rebuild online or not!!!!

is that a bitmap index?.. where size grows significantly (IMHO of such a behaviour).. and after rebild u can claim as much as 2.5GB..
