    Oracle IPv6 support

Hi I was wondering if anyone knew what (if any) releases of Oracle support IPv6.

Does anyone have any experience with storing IPv6 addresses in an Oracle database? Any recommendations on data-types and etc?

    Thanks,

    Jim

IPv6 is a feature of defining network IP address. It requires eight 16-bit hexadecimal colon-delimited blocks to asign and the address would look like "0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0001" .

If you want to store these in database it can be done.
