    accelerate create index

    I need to create 2 big index. In terrabytes.
    I have 10g release 2 with 4 gig of ram.

    Il be the only one connected to the database. How could i accelerate the creation process?

    Agree with the previous post.
    Also consider lowering SGA in favor of PGA That woudl speed up the sorts. You should bring back the original SGA and PGA sizes once the index is buidl

    move to a 64 bit server, get more ram and increase the PGA

    if you are looking for more recommandations it would be good to give some more information about your environment.

    DB Version, OS, server, application, description of the table, type of index....
