    Oracle 10g database Control

    Hello all..

I installed Oracle 10g R2 on Sun solaris 10 and created a small database called "abc". Later on, i was able to manage the database thru a web browser using the url http:// xxx203:1158/em

Now, i created another database called "HEAT" on the same server, and when i try to use the web , it gets connected to "abc" by default and doesnt give me an option to change the connect descriptor...

    any help is appreciated ..

    Ron

    Cool

You may need to install (or configure) the EM console for the HEAT database.

PS: A different URL (mainly the port#) will be assigned for that db.

    thanks for your reply...
So, you are saying that , if i have 5 different databases on that server, i will be given 5 different port # 's to manage these databases ?...

also where do we configure the EM console for web access ?

Yes each db will have it's own EM console URL with diff port#.

To create/configure EM console, use the emca utlility.

PS: First make sure it is not already configured, type: emctl status dbconsole
