    installation

    All,
    How do i set server display for installation,i need to install db server on xxx machine i logged on to it as oracle ,am kinda new to unix i have gone thru the installation guide but am not getting exactly how to perform it can somebody help me out with this if possible .Do i need to open another window logged on to the same m/c(xxx) and do echo $DISPLAY and export the result,am i right?

    Just log to the graphic interface of UNIX
    open a command prompt window ( terminal)
    mount the cd, go to it and issue
    ./runInstaller (note that the case matters on UNIX)
