journal import failure

could anybody throw some light into why a manual/auto (auto import which follows a revenue recognition) journal import fails, regardless of the source(ap/ar):

for example,

Request ID Name Phase Status Parameters
1426264 Journal Import Completed Error 3909, 1
================================
(Whereas a manual import works at times, if tried again)


this has started all of a sudden on a box whch has been running fine since a few years now. temp tablespace/other tablespaces, rollback segments etc all look ok.


is it to do with the gl interface tables? gl_interface & gl_interface_control or some other db issue?

would appreciate any feedback on this.
