    Question Configuring Oracle Internet Directory

    Hi,

I am trying to install/confiure OID (I suppose alternatively it is also called as LDAP server).

I want to know if I need to have Oracle Application Server installed for doing this?

I am on WinXP SP2 and have Oracle database server installed. I can see "Oracle Directory Manager" option but if I try to do anything in it, I get error "LDAP serever down". I looked for some help on the net and found that I have to use command "oidmon start" to start the LDAP instance. But I dont find this file in my installation.

Could you please advice how I should go ahead with it?

    Thanks in advance.
