Disk Failure - Please help urgent

We had oracle designer installed on Linux Redhat AS4. Last week, we had disk failure and we are unable to boot from it.

We have backup of physical data files, control file .

How could I can re-build the database using physical files.

    Please advice.

    Thanks in advance

if you have everything - datafiles, control files, redo logs

then just make sure everything is in the same place, and start it up

Thanks to everyone for their support and emails.

Final Question, do I need to install the oracle software first, or I just restore from the backup and everything should be wokring. Please advice.

    Thanks in advance.

If you're restoring it, bear in mind that oracle-related files exist outside of $ORACLE_HOME. I'm thinking of oratab, oraenv, dbhome, oraInst.loc and so on.

    Hi everyone,

We go out new disks. After restoring the database will not start. It is coming with

    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

the alert.log file has the following message.

    Errors in file /disk01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0.1.0/admin/CCREPOS/udump/ccrepos
    _ora_25133.trc:
