while applying a patch , if adpatch fails.now how to restart the adpatch from where we left that is how to continue it .which is correct way to do so from these 2 ways
1) $adpatch restart=y
2)by using atctrl option "tell worker to restart failed job"

pls tell me which is correct way to restart adpatch.and also lemme know the difference between these two.pls pls its urgent.

better way to restar the adpatch is , u just use adpatch, it will ask "whether u want to continue with the previous session:" YES

and if you want to apply another patch in between of provious patch and then continue with the old patch See metalink id : 175485.1

It really depends on what you're doing. Sometimes it's better just to tell the worker to restart, sometimes its better to restart the patch from the beginning.
