    Database crash and alert log

    Can someone please advise what happens if DB (with failover configuration) crashes due to network issues, does it log any error into alert log file even If DB has a failover DB or just shutdown the DB gracefully and goes to the failover db. Also is there anyway to find the username and machine from which shut down immediate command has been issued? Thanks in advance.

    why would the database shutdown due to network issues?

    Not sure, but at that I have seen alert log showing db was successfully shutdown with immediate option. Just trying to find if anything will be logged in alert log file in the event of DB crashes and has a failover software configured to failover to other box. Thanks in advance for your response.
