Develops and supports code or operating systems and products that support specialized business functions. Responsible for working with end users or applications development to understand requirements of programs and then perform the analytical duties to properly develop programs or implement systems to support developed applications. Responsible for diagnosing and correction of problems in the specialized systems. Responsible for configuration, installation and correction of problems in the operating environments as well as performance monitoring and tuning and backup and recovery. Responsible for having expert knowledge of vendor specific systems, hardware and products.

Responsible for backup and recovery of supported systems. Maintains database design and architecture. May create tables and data dictionaries. Modifies and runs reports. May assign and manage user access/authorization. Evaluates and improves, on a continuous basis, standards and procedures for assignments. May coordinate activities for developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results; using working knowledge of a specialized area. May provide technical support to branches during conversions. May provide training to end users for specific supported systems.

Associate or Bachelorís Degree in electrical engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related field and at least five years experience with database administration, including experience supporting databases and specific technologies. Must have project management experience and knowledge of SDLC processes and experience on Oracle and Oracle 10g RAC. Unix skills preferred.
