need help in unix

I am very new to the unix operatring system. I did a df -k and had the following results:
$ df -k
Filesystem 1024-blocks Free %Used Iused %Iused Mounted on
/dev/hd4 65536 16560 75% 3551 11% /
/dev/hd2 4915200 1369356 73% 97984 8% /usr
/dev/hd9var 163840 118264 28% 1773 5% /var
/dev/hd3 262144 165324 37% 2622 5% /tmp

My question is that are those numbers kilobytes or bytes?

in Kb. If you don't know about any command, Just type in
man {command/name} which gives you the manual pages for that command.
