    Transparent Application Failover with standby database

    I am currently implementing a standby database and unsuccessfully trying to use Transparent Application Failover. Although I have read everything I can find on the subject, I am having no luck and have yet to come across a documented case of a successful implementation.
    If anyone has achieved it I would appreciate hearing from them.
