    Dealing with EMNO

    Hello,
    There is this EMNO process that is getting spawned automatically by Oracle evryevening that brings the database down.
    Following is from alert log:

    Starting background process EMN0
    EMN0 started with pid=146, OS id=3058
    Thu Jul 13 16:31:28 2006
    Shutting down instance: further logons disabled
    Thu Jul 13 16:31:29 2006
    Stopping background process MMNL
    Thu Jul 13 16:31:29 2006
    Stopping background process CJQ0
    Thu Jul 13 16:31:30 2006
    Stopping background process MMON
    Thu Jul 13 16:31:31 2006
    Shutting down instance (immediate)
    License high water mark = 133
    Thu Jul 13 16:31:31 2006
    Stopping Job queue slave processes
    Thu Jul 13 16:31:31 2006
    Job queue slave processes stopped
    All dispatchers and shared servers shutdown
    Thu Jul 13 16:31:37 2006
    ALTER DATABASE CLOSE NORMAL

    ----

    Does anyone know how can I stop this process?I've looked on the internet, found people having a similar question, but no concrete answer.Thanks.

    well the alert log you posted there shows nothing useful.

    You could have searched on metalink and found that emn0 is advanced queueing, if you arent using is you can ignore the message note 105067.1
