    Oracle SQL Plus Error

I get the error when trying to run Oracle SQL 8.0 Plus:

    Message file sp1.msb not found.

Does anybody know what this means and/or how to fix??

    Thanks

I'm not sure. When I originally looked up the error I found fixes like setup your ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID system variables. This doesn't help me much though cuz i don't know how to do that or how they should be setup.

IDEA: I may be able to find another system that is setup correctly. Are these just files I could copy from the working system to the errorous one? Or are these settings that vary from system to system?

Open the registry editor. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> ORACLE -> KEY_Oradb10g_home1

in the right side of the registry editor you will find the registry key
ORACLE_HOME . Check whether the corret path is mentioned for that key or not. If not right click on ORACLE_HOME key then click on Modify. Enter correct oracle home path in Value Data field.

    good luck.
