XML DB Consultant

Our client who is an Oracle Implementation Partner, has an immediate need for XML DB Consultant for their first XML DB project and need help troubleshooting some issues. What they are after is a combination of DBA, architect, and Sr. Developer. They have developed a schema that models the data, and we get data sets (approx 4Gig in size) from the customer to upload and ETL into a star type structure.

We need a few things:

1) Optimizations for uploading xml files (We need upload times to be better) we have several xml files that are 130 taking 5 hours.

2) We are unclear about foldering and how it works with the registered schema, as well as data backup strategies.

3) TNS/FTP optimal configurations buffer sizes, timeouts, etc...

4) Other optimizations such as memory allocations for engines that do the document shredding behind the scenes.

Duration: 1-2 months

Hourly Rate: 50-90 (All Inc)
