    Oracle 10G and HP9000 install

    Sir-

Can anyone tell me the optimum way to install Oracle on an HP9000 as far as spreading the Schemas/Data etc across separate Volumes?

    Thomas,

There is no easy answer to your question. It all depends upon your hardware and your goals. I'd advise you to contract someone with experience doing this type of thing.

    Thomas,

I see, you were looking for a "general" what to do, not a specific where do I put this.

If your looking to tune your system for Optimal I/O I'd recommend researching some of the oracle docs. It just depends on what your application type is and what your trying to achieve. There is no simple answer or a 1 size fits all answer for this question.

    Regards,
    ken
