    Hello

Can anyone tell me how set oracle two tier architecure in oracle 8.1.5 on linux. I have installed it but do I have to make changes in any of the paramaters. A lot of people said me that for effective connection pooling and processes handling for a B2B database two-tier will be more useful than Multi-threaded server, therefore can you guide me on this issue.

    Thanks in Advance
    Amol

Please be more specific about your configuration: are you planning on using an application or just clients, if application, is is web-based, is it using oracle tools, is in 3rd party or is it in-house developed... does it use Java etc. Because connectivity and the whole setup will depend on what you actually want to connect to your database. MTS is very useful when you just have lots of network activity, if you use just a jav-based apps you can set it up without MTS.
