    Executing an external (threaded?) program

    We want to run an barcode printing program after an insert into a table.

    I was thinking we could just execute an external program in a trigger somehow but I also probably need it to be threaded because its goin to be executed 100s of times in a short period sometimes.


    8.1.7 Oracle on a Windows 2000 server.

    It sounds like maybe you are doing some type of batch insert into the table correct? If so, can you send all the data to the bar code printing routine at once ?
