    I would take some backup of the user definition along with grants, quotas and whatnot, then drop it and recreate with the backup script, then import.

    Ok, may be good for delaing with production boxes. But most of the times we do import to the Test / Developement instances. So, do we wanna so careful with non-productions instances..?

    I will, import with IGNORE=Y and a quick comparison with target and source instances - number and type of objects. That is much quicker and easy.
