    Default location

In 9i,using DBCA i've created a database, the database structure looks exactly like Oracle optimal Flexible Architecture. My doubt is,if OFA is not followed, what will be the default location(in Windows as well as UNIX) for

    1. Datafiles(includes redo logs,tempfiles,control files)
    2. Dump files
    3. Init.ora file
    4. Archived log files

init.ota files are always oracle_home/dbs or database if windows

    ORACLE_BASE/oradata for database

no such thing as dump files so therefore no default

default for archive files is oracle_home/dbs unless you set it differently

    seriously, read the docs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
