ASSM & Freelists

With top wait event is DB file Sequential Read & Buffer busy waits I thought to increase the Freelists for index & tables.

All the tablespaces have Segment Space Managemnt as AUTO, Is it worth to increase the freelists with ASSM?? Please Advice.

no effects if you do, there are more things which can cause buffer busy waits

Can you explain all those other reasons which cause the buffer busy waits.
