Can we import in 8i using export from 10g data pump?

    Hi,
I am new to 10g and need some quick help. I am on 10g R2 (64bit)on Solaris 10 server and need to find out if its possible to import (using imp) data into an Oracle 8.1.7 database which was exported using 10g data pump (using expdp).
I am getting an error on the 8i server which says that the DBMS_DATAPUMP is not a valid package. Is there a workaround for this?

    Thanks in advance
When in doubt ...go to the basics!!
