Job Description:
The Database Administrator will serve as a member of a team responsible for providing support to forward deployed Intelligence and command and control systems as part of the Distributed Common Ground Station and Joint Intelligence Operations Capability. , The position involves working on a small, highly capable team and interacting with the customer to ensure operational success. , Responsibilities include:, • Defining and maintaining the DB schema., • Administering the DB operational environment., • Working as part of the architecture team to enhance the overall system design., • Interfacing with customer on system and operational issues., • Determining optimal processes for ingesting large external datasets
Required Skills:
• Oracle DB products (5 years min.), including specific experience with at least Oracle 9i, Oracle workflow and queuing features, PL-SQL., • Minimum 3 years experience designing DBs for large datasets and number of users is needed., • Minimum 3 years experience administering DBs, including fault tolerance, security, backup/recovery, and automating the environment is required., • A comprehensive understanding of enterprise architecture and the role of DB’s in those architectures., • Must have familiarity with Unix (Solaris and Linux) and Windows (NT) operating systems and tools., Must have active Top secret SCI Clearance., *This position requires deployment to areas such as Iraq, Guantanamo Bay-Cuba, Kuwait and Afghanistan.* Typically, deployments are 90 days in duration. Longer deployments are available and completion bonuses are paid for longer deployments.

Desired Skills:
• Extensive experience in large, multi-user DB design and administration, as well as DB-related programming experience (stored procedures, scripting, etc)., • Application programming background (Perl, Java, etc)., • Experience integrating enterprise databases within J2EE architectures. , • Experience with non-Oracle DBs, particularly, PostgreSQL and MySQL., • Application programming experience in C++ or Java.

Education:
B.S.C.S., E.E. or equivalent education and experience is required., Desired Education Certifications:, • Oracle certification is a plus., • Advanced degrees and certifications are desirable.
