    Oracle failsafe over distances?

Can you use Oracle Failsafe across distances? i.e. 2 nodes seperated over 1 mile. Its a active/passive scenarior.

If so, does this degrade performance?
    Thanks.

As the Oracle Fail Safe is based on the Microsoft WIndows Cluster - the ndoes need to have shared storage so both nodes can access the disks. So the perfomance depends on what kind of network you would use to connect the hosts and the disks.
If you need a disaster recovery solution better go with a standby database on the remote location 0 this would not make any perfoamnce problem on the primary DB.
    go to the oracle clinic
