Hi ,
i want to migrate a DB from Oracle 9i to Oracle10g.
How is the best method to do this.
The new db wil be on another server as the last one and my DB is 3 Tera Byte big.

same os or different os? how do you plan to move 3tb of data between servers?
-
I don't plan yet.
They will be on different OS.
I think exp/imp will be heavy.
DBCA I think we must be on the same server to use it.
Any Idea?

upgrade current server to 10g and then use TTS might be your fastest method
-
What's TTS? Is that Trasportable Tablespace?
If this is the case? should i create first all users in target DB?

You have two options:
1. Upgrade to 10g and then TTS.
2. Exp/imp 9i to 10g accross platforms (refer metalink doc 277650.1).
I think both is going to cost you the same.
Choice is yours!
Goodluck!!

Should i export with Full=Y and ROWS=N and import in the new db.
And than TTS!

no they wont cost the same, the import on the new server will be much quicker with TTS as the actual data doesnt have to be imported, only the metadata
Yes you will need to create the users

tim to read the manuals for transportable tablespaces I believe
