    Upgrade Oracle database using DBUA

I will use the Oracle utility DBUA to upgrade Oracle database from 817 to 92060.
    1. Is there a check list pre-upgrade?
    2. What should be done after upgrade, listener.ora, tnsnames.ora etc.?

dbua is a pretty complete tool for upgrade. In fact, it does most of what you need during an upgrade. You need to take the usual precautions (backup, etc.), but its a very easy upgrade for most databases.

Didn't work for me (see previous thread on the subject), but that might just be our architecture.

With that in mind, make sure you have a comprehensive and validated backup for recovery purposes. Good luck.
If I have to choose between two evils, I always like to choose the one I haven't tried yet.

do the backup yourself and don't let dbua do it. This way you can be assured you can recover.
