    Exclamation 'system' getting locked

    Oracle 10g - 10.1.0.2.0
    Windows 2003 server

I have this strange issue of 'system' user being locked.

My all other 5-6 10g db installation are behaving fine but this one db always locks the 'system' user and then I have to login as sysdba to unlock it to be able to connect it as system.

I don't know what script/process is causing it.

Please suggest a fix for this. Finding the cause is ideally I am looking for.

profiles, locking the user after unsuccesfull login attempts?

someone logging in as sysdba to lock it?

It should be locked anyway. turn auditing on and you will find out

Nobody has access to this new database. Its just happening ever since I finished creating the db using dbca. Other user with same profile are fine.

Me too...i experience it but my db is in IBM P5 AIX 5L what i
observed is that it shows in the OEM that is it timed-locked.
Is there any settings in user profile to timed-lock a certain user?
