Installing Oracle 9.2.0.4.0 on Redhat Enterprise Linux 3.0 WS

This is my first post, so any constructive comments welcome.

I am having install issues in various stages, has anybody done this install before that can assist me, essentially all the linux kernel settings, oracle accounts, groups etc have been set up.

I need help in setup of the environment and oracle variables settings at the point prior to running the installer.

I have tried so many suggestions from whitepapers etc, but many of these do tend to lead one in the wrong direction.

If anyone has done this type of install before, please advise.

    Thanks in advance
    Graeme
