ORA-12560 at service startup
Hello,
I am using Windows 2003 server which is virtul machine. On this server I have install Oracle Database 10GR2, after that I have also installed (in separate Oracle home) http server and htmldb.
Problem is that afer reboot of server, database does not start. I have to connect to sqlplus as sysdba and start database manually (service is started but database does not started).
The same thing happens if I just restart Oracle service. Service is restarted but database does not start.
I am connected as a local admin and i am in ora_dba group (this is not the same user under which Oracle was installed).
In registry ORA_SID_AUTOSTART is set to TRUE.
The only error that i can find is in oradim.log and it is ORA-12560 TNS:Protocol adapter error.

Additonal info:
I go to command prompt I try this
oradim -startup -sid ORCL
result is the same.
But if I do it like this
SET ORACLE_SID=ORCL
oradim -startup -sid ORCL
then service is started and also database is up.
In path env variable htmldb oracle home comes before database home. So if enter sqlplus the sqlplus from htmldb installation is started. conn / as sysdba gives me ORA-12560 error. If I start sqlplus from database home then connect / as sysdba is sucessfull.
It seems that something like that is happening at service startup.
I tried to change order in path env variable, but that didn't help.
Any ideas?

More info:
In previous post my conclusions were wrong.
Setting ORACLE_SID, doesn not have any impact.
I have to start ORADIM command twice. First time only service is started, then if I run ORADIM again database is started also.
But this works only manually. After reboot of server or afer restart of service in Control panel, this is done only once, so database is down.

did you use STARTMODE when creating the new instance through ORADIM?
"What is past is PROLOGUE"

New instance was created by dbca.
P.S.
Service is set to startup Automatic.
