How to deinstall Ora9i in AIX

    Hi dear friends,

    I have Installed both 10g R1 and 9i R2 oracle db on AIX 5L.
Now, i want to remove/deinstall 9i R2 to save space.
I run the 10gR2 installer and check for product remove options.
I click the home for Ora9i db but the remove button wont highlight.
It said that I cannot deinstall this time coz there might be some
    dependencies violated?

How can I deinstall this please ....
Should I just force remove the Oracle9i home directory using "rm -r"?

    Pls help,

Thanks a lot in advance and Merry Christmas to All

Before you hit it with the rm -r sledgehammer, I'd advise you to simply rename the 9i home directory and see whether anything falls over. Good luck and Merry Christmas too you too.
If I have to choose between two evils, I always like to choose the one I haven't tried yet.
