    rman backkup failed

    Hi Everyone,

    I have a database (9.2.0.6) on W2K server. The web application is Taxware 4.5 and hosted on IBM Websphere 5.0.2.6. A fucntion called Export data is excuted to export data, and it was done in 5 minutes. After that, the Oracle Archives every 10 minutes. I tried to kill all the sessions on Oracle, but it didn't work. Eventually, I have to restart the TAXWARE application server, then the Archiving becomes normal. but the Oracle had been doing this archiving (10 minutes interval) for more than 12 hours.

    This morning, I found the Backup job failed due to running out disk space. The database files are less than 5 GB big, but I have more than 13 GB free space, it still not enough for the backup job.

    Can anyone please let me know what went wrong and how I correct it?
